Sesi Muzakarah (KKBS)

On 16th December 2024, we had an engaging Sesi Muzakarah with the Minister and top officials of the Ministry of Culture, Youth, and Sports. We were briefed on the ministry’s achievements for the 2024-2025 financial year and its future direction.

Before the dialogue session, LegCo members toured the Youth Development Centre (PPB) to explore the courses available for youth and the community. While the Centre offers essential certifications in food preparation, plumbing, welding, and sewing, I highlighted the need to expand the curriculum to include future-ready courses focusing on digital literacy, creativity, and innovation.

The Minister also introduced Ticket Kitani 1.0 and BudayaBN. Given the need for more public engagement apps, I advocated for web apps over mobile apps for their cost-effectiveness and wide accessibility.

Questions: Are you aware of the offerings at the Youth Development Centre? What do you think this Centre and other youth centres should provide to empower our youth for the future?
